5 Travel Podcasts You Need To Hear
One of my guilty pleasures lately is listening to travel podcasts while working on my website. You will be surprised how many good ideas you will have just by having one play in the background as you write. They can help you with blog topics, planning your next adventure or just help you relax.
Here are my 5 of my top travel podcasts that you should listen to:
Loco Gringo Mexico Podcast
Host: Kay Walten
I have just recently discovered this great travel podcast and I love hearing stories of people living in Mexico. Kay interviews many different people regarding a variety of topics including: owning property, raising a family in Mexico, owning a business and much more. If you are thinking of moving to Mexico as an expat I recommend listening to many of Kay’s episodes. The format of this podcast is unique making it one of my favorites.
Zero to Travel Podcast
Host: Jason Moore
This is the first travel podcast I started listening to when I started my blog. Jason covers different topics from budget traveling to being location independent. The best part of Zero to Travel is you never know what the topic will be. This podcast is brilliantly put together and draws in the listener from the first episode.
Break into Travel Writing Podcast
Host: Alexa Meisler
I love this podcast because Alexa teaches you tips and tricks to get the most out of your website. Break into Travel has a wealth of knowledge on a wide variety of topics geared toward travel blogging. Are you struggling to bring traffic to your blog? Having trouble with Twitter and Facebook? This is the Podcast for you!
Nomad Capitalist Podcast
Host: Andrew Henderson
The Nomad Capitalist is a great source for information on being a citizen in a different country. Covering a variety of topics including bank accounts, taxes, passports and almost everything an expat needs to know. This podcast isn’t updated regularly but is still worth your time to listen.
Extra Pack of Peanuts Travel Podcast
Host: Travis Sherry
EPOP is a podcast for both the beginner and experienced traveler. Many topics include frequent flyer points, cheap flights, product reviews and my favorite: Destination Diaries. I like to have this podcast playing while blogging to get myself motivated to write. I recommend EPOP to anyone who loves to travel!

There are many podcast programs available for your iPhone or android device but the one I use is called Pocket Casts. It’s a free podcast player with no advertisements and it’s easy to use. You can find all the podcasts mentioned in this post along with hundreds of others on Pocket casts.
