I was introduced to Craps on my first trip to Las Vegas in 2013 while staying at the Tropicana Casino and from the first roll of the dice I was hooked. Ever since then I have played craps in many casinos on the strip and I have compiled a List of my five favorite casinos to play craps while visiting Sin City.
This is my favorite casino for craps on the strip for many reasons. First off the vibe at Harrah’s is incredible, they make everyone feel welcome to play including new players. If you go there at the right time some of their tables are $5 min bet (usually in the early morning or afternoon) which is great for making your money last longer and when I play there it seems that everyone is having a good time. The waitresses are pleasant when they bring you drinks and most of the time you can find a table to play at.
The Cromwell is a close second to Harrah’s on my craps list because they make everyone feel like a high roller even if you are playing a $10 table. One of my best nights playing craps was at The Cromwell the table was packed, everyone was treated like royalty which made it a great memory. If you’re lucky you can find a $5 table early in the day but if you want a great experience, save your money and play there at night.
El Cortez Hotel and Casino
If you want to play craps and feel like you stepped back in time then the El Cortez Casino is for you. It is located on Freemont St. and as soon as you walk it feels like 1945, the slots are new but the vibe is old. There is nothing fancy about the craps tables and the tables always have room for new players. I found the dealers friendly and the service exceptional which makes the El Cortez high on my list.
Another casino with a great vibe due to the Vegas strip being 2 feet from the craps table. $5 craps table can be found early in the day and the game play really picks up at night. I found it to get crowded quickly due to only having one table but if you can stand the crowd it is worth it.
